The air in evergreen eucalyptus forests is nearly sterile; the biologically active substances emitted by the trees destroy pathogens, mosquitoes, and other harmful insects. This essential oil, derived from the leaves, has a specific aroma and a fresh, cooling taste. It is an excellent ozonizing agent for the home when diffused.
